President Obama has pledged a "loan guarantee" of $8.5 billion! For what? To build a nuclear power plant! Where did THAT come from? Has he EVER (in a positive way) mentioned nuclear power?
The problem here is that we CAN'T build a nuclear power plant until we have found another place to dispose of the spent fuel rods. With the "not in my backyard" attitude - that's not happening anytime soon! So it's a ruse to think President Obama has any intention of actually funding a nuclear power plant - yet he can APPEAR to be supportive of more right-minded solutions.
Can anyone say "smoke and mirrors?"
